Where Lush Rainforest Meets the Atlantic
Nestled within the vibrant embrace of the Atlantic Rainforest, our region is a paradise where emerald green hills cascade down to meet the azure expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, beside a gentle river and bathed by the spray of a beautiful waterfall, you’ll discover a place brimming with natural wonders. We are fondly known as the Costa do Cacau – the Cocoa Coast – a name that hints at the rich history and lush bounty of this truly special corner of Brazil.
This is a land where life unfolds at a slower, more harmonious pace. The air is thick with the scent of tropical flowers and the distant aroma of cocoa, a testament to the fertile soil and dedicated cultivation that has shaped this landscape for generations. Whether you seek adventure, tranquility, or a deeper connection with nature, the Costa do Cacau offers an unforgettable experience.
To explore the best the region has to offer: pristine beaches and crystal-clear waterfalls. We are a 30-minute drive from Itacaré and 15 minutes from Serra Grande.
The region’s beaches have long stretches of golden sand, coconut palms swaying in the wind, and waves perfect for surfing or simply relaxing. And the magic doesn’t stop there.
The surrounding forests hold trails that lead to secret waterfalls, where you can cool off in natural pools and marvel at the strength and tranquility of nature.
It’s the perfect place for those who love the sea, the forest, and the waterfall in equal measure.
The nearest airport is in Ilhéus (IOS), just a one-hour drive away.
It’s also possible to fly into Salvador (SSA). The journey from there takes about six hours and includes a scenic ferry ride, offering incredible landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival, our first tip is to head straight to the Yary Waterfall, located right on our property. It’s the perfect spot to cleanse your soul and connect with the energy of the land. Afterward, take a short stroll to Pé de Serra Beach, our closest beach. Here you’ll find easy access, local food huts with cold coconut water, and a calm sea with gentle waves.
